Recovery Services
In addition to our Education Services, we work with regional agencies and organizations to place qualified Independent Recovery Coaches with their clients and members that have special needs. For example, we have a long-standing relationship with San Diego Regional Center (SDRC). Agencies like SDRC can request services and MARSTE will assign an Independent Recovery Coach to provide group or individual coaching sessions with SUD clients seeking additional support from a caring, supportive person in recovery.
NOTE: We are not a rehabilitation program or detoxification center and we offer no medical or clinical treatment services. We can help refer you to local treatment programs but we do not provide services to individuals needing detoxification or withdrawal services.
We believe that individual growth comes in many definitions of success.
We connect your clients* with people in recovery who can lend a guiding hand
Our recovery coaches help people find ways to stop addiction through many different methods including, abstinence, harm reduction, and referrals to treatment programs. We also encourage cognitive approaches to curbing addictive behaviors, and pursuing spiritual channels. We help individuals identify and develop what already works for their unique personality.
What Is A Recovery Coach?
A Recovery Coach is a trained professional that promotes recovery and serves as a guide for individuals, families and communities to identify and remove barriers to recovery. The Recovery Coach’s role varies from individual to individual. Here are some common ideas regarding a Recovery Coach:
Recovery coaches are not therapists, Peer Recovery Mentors or Peer Support Specialists. They do not provide clinical help; rather, they help the person engage with treatment, and also help with various skills needed for recovery.

Prevention and Diversion
The only thing more powerful than introducing someone with SUD to recovery is helping people, young and old, from all walks of life, avoid substance abuse and find vital diversionary activities that align with their values.
Using a combination of techniques and approaches, Mary Hubbard presents and facilitates educational and actionable workshops and courses focused on substance use prevention and diversion.
With more than 30 years in the field of alcohol and other drug (AOD) counseling, Mary and her MARSTE team have a wealth of evidence-based exercises and learning experiences to help your organization, school or group. You’ll get the latest facts about trends in addiction science and emerging practices from agencies, medical providers and communities around the country and around the world.
Give us a call at 619-971-6686 to discuss running a prevention and diversion workshop for your group. We can tailor the program to your specific requirements and accommodate your scheduling needs with additional sessions or virtual conferences if needed.
