CMTS-04-P Physiology and Pharmacology (Payment Plan)

Although the main goal of this 45-hour course is to examine the effects of drugs on the body, this course will focus on dependence versus abuse- tolerance and the interactive effects of prescription and illegal drugs. There will be discussions regarding the physiological difference between males and females and the diverse effects that drugs have on their bodies. The focus will be on understanding the disease model, yet there will be extensive training in harm reduction and other forms of treatment and prevention for individuals.
